Northern Minn. Musher Wins U.P. 200 Sled Dog Race | News

GRAND MARAIS, Mich. (AP) - A Ray, Minn., musher has won his third consecutive U.P. 200 sled dog race on a route changed this year due to lack of snow in parts of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The Marquette Mining Journal and WLUC-TV say participants reached the finish Sunday morning in Grand Marais along Lake Superior, instead of downtown Marquette.
The race started Friday in Chatham, instead of 25 miles northwest in Marquette. The race traditionally starts or finishes in downtown Marquette.
Ryan Anderson's team crossed the finish line in Grand Marais at 9:16 a.m. Sunday.
